Case studies:

Qualcomm - The Writing Machine is retained by Qualcomm and its interactive agency partner One to One Interactive to provide marketing collateral and strategic advice on Qualcomm's entry into the European W-CDMA market. The marketing advice specifically relates to multimedia content, DRM and network issues.

Nokia Networks
– The Writing Machine was retained to carry out a major marketing communications campaign on behalf of Nokia in advance of 3GSM World Congress 2004. We have also been contracted to provide further on-going marketing communications services.

BT Openzone - BT has created a WiFi play and The Writing Machine and AMFv are retained to provide guidance to senior management on this rapidly growing and evolving industry.

BT Retail - The Writing Machine is retained to provide strategic advice and information on emerging technologies for digital content delivery, i.e. DAB and DVB.

BSKYB – The Writing Machine and AMFv were retained by Sky Interactive to undertake a short piece of research into a new service combining the TV and Internet; and to subsequently prepare an investment paper and presentation for the Sky Interactive board.

Vodafone – The Writing Machine was retained by Vodafone to carry out market and competitive research. We also prepared marketing and commercial materials for the positioning of their new business services.

Nokia Multimedia - Andrew Darling and The Writing Machine is retained by Nokia Multimedia to edit and managed Nokia's Mobile TV Forum and newsletter. This website and monthly newsletter is aimed at broadcasters, production companies and mobile operators around the world looking to implement mobile TV over the DVB-H platform. Nokia Mobile TV Forum

Network for Online Commerce & World Telemedia - Andrew Darling is retained by this trade organisation and conference company to act as Director of Industry Affairs, Editor of its publications and newsletters, including World Telemedia Magazine. NOC

Elata – The Writing Machine was engaged by Elata, a mobile middleware platform developer, to coordinate and execute a marketing communications program designed to raise client's profile in major telco and IT service provider sector. Project included media training Elata senior executives, competitive analysis, writing opinion pieces and placement in trade media and customer newsletters.

Swisscom Eurospot – The Writing Machine was retained to carry out product research into a major competitor on behalf of the Swiss mobile and fixed line operator.

The Cloud – The Writing Machine was retained to develop marketing collateral and website content for this wholesale WiFi access provider.

The Wireless LAN Event, London – We were retained by the event organisers to provide agenda and speaker research for this top London WiFi event to be held at Olympia in April 2004.

Digital Africa 2005 - Andrew Darling has been retained by this event's organisers to provide advice on agenda content and speakers. He will be chairing the event which brings together government ministers, service providers and vendors in Cape Town between 8 - 10th February 2005.
